All found in Virginia.
These two species were found growing on two sides of the same dead oak. No significant bruising or color change on either.
Psathyrella sp.?

Approximately 3" tall. The color changed considerably after they started to dry.

Nipplish cap with small lines, thin flesh.

Dark gills/dark blackish spore print.

Then we have...
Hypholoma sp.?

Also approximately 3" tall, creamier colored with fleshier cap, though the flesh was pretty flimsy and the cap crumbled when I attempted a spore print.

Cap color is pretty even.

Gills appear light but spores appear dark.

Then...found in the grass...

I've seen them around before, but can't remember giving a fuck about what they are. They don't look edible, but it would be worth knowing their identity.

Maybe 3.5" tall, cap is large and mostly round. Stem is shaggyish, no bruising. Spores are black, and it dumped a considerable quantity of spores all over the ground. There's a faint ring on the stem that managed to collect some spores.

Lacrymaria velutina?

So 1 & 2 are the same species? Are the light ones just really young?

Yes, they are different ages. It's a pretty variable species within a pretty variable group of species though.
Growing from the same tree though; it's very likely that the only difference whatsoever between the two is the age of the fruiting.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.
