I'll take your word for it. There was a book out on it not too many years ago that talked about Zaire, Marburg and the variety that cleaned out a colony of monkey test subjects in Virginia. That building was quarantined and nobody has been back in to my knowledge.

I've known about it for a long time. I'm about the same age as those girls. The difference between me and them is that I read The Hot Zone when I was like twelve. It was really scary, I was worried there would be a global pandemic for a while after reading it.

These girls had never heard of Ebola. I was dumbfounded. I thought (almost) everyone knows what Ebola is. Apparently younger folks don't because there haven't been any major outbreaks that made the news since the 90s.
I'm about 95% sure this is an age related thing, so I'm making a poll to test that.
Its not an age related thing. Its because you were talking to girls. Girls (at least the majority) are intellectually inferior. Thats why men rule the world and know about ebola.

BANZ! I myself am uber-homosexual, does that make me inferior also? I could have sworn my penis tested in the high range of the penis intelligent test!

I may be rude but based on the majority of girls I've met in my life most of them don't know what ebola is because its a perfect topic for a first date/casual conversation.
The main reason I stayed for +4 years with my gf is because she answered what ebola is before I stuck my penis in her cavities.

I see. It's wrong to unfairly judge an entire gender due to the actions of a few - I am aware of the unintelligent/ignorant women that you talk about, but in the same way, I've also encountered a large number of the male equivalent; all brauns and no brains. The guys who act "alpha" and bully "nerds", the guys who treat other people and women like objects, trophies or trash, the guys who are only focused on sex, money and drugs and unwilling to study anything meaningful. I think it's likely that there are also a large number of men who are not aware of Ebola. Within both genders, there are a lot of dumb people, as well as smart people, but always a smaller percentage of smarter people. The dumb/ignorant people take the public spotlight, since they are the noisy majority. All the while, the smarter few have more important things to do than waste time in that spotlight. As a result there appear to be fewer smarter people than there really are.

We had to read the book The Hotzone in middle school here. Worst disease you could imagine. Bleeding from all your orfices and having your organs liquefied; horrible, horrible stuff. If there was ever another widespread outbreak I think I would rather shoot myself than have to deal with the possibility of catching ebola

i voted yes, because i think is a flesh eating disease, but i wasnt 100% sure
the thing of this pole, is if you think its something, but you are wrong, your going to vote yes
example
" i know what ebola is, is aids, *votes yes*"
