hello everyone, I went and checked out a new spot yesterday with a friend(broke open head) and we came across these two species that we couldn't figure out. here's the first one. I thought they were P. Cinctulus but I've never found them before and wasn't sure.
Species 1
Habitat: Growing in grass Gills: Gill color is a dark brown/dark grey Stem: Whitish brown at top and darker the lower you go. seemed to be pretty fragile Cap: Brown to Beige, smooth, hygrophanous, Spore print color: Black Bruising: no bruising Location: Bothell, Wa

Species 2
this species really caught me off guard at first cause of the intense bluing on a few of the mushrooms. I found these as soon as we got out of the car. I picked some, took photos and then left them on the curb. when we came back to my car 30 mins later I put them in a paper bag and the ones that I pinched did not bruise at all. when we were grabbing them before we left, we noticed that there were blue areas in the wood chips where someone must have sprayed or spilled a blue liquid. this makes us think they didn't actually turn blue by themselves. they must have gotten some of the blue liquid on them. so in conclusion, the blue you see on the 2 mushrooms in the photos aren't natural. not gonna lie, I was kinda let down when we realized what had happened.
Habitat: Growing in wood chips(pine and cedar) Gills: Brownish/Gray and the older the specimen the darker the gills Stem: White. flimsy/fragile Cap: light brown? there were a lot with lighter/whitish caps, but I think they weren't that wet so they might of dried out a little. Spore print color: Black Bruising: no bruising I think? Location: Bothell, Wa

First is Panaeolus cinctulus the second one is really interesting. Looks like a green staining Psathyrella?

1st are Panaeolus cinctulus, second maybe Psathyrella and that blue seems like it's from dye used as an indicator additive for herbicides.

thanks guys! as soon as I saw the cinctulus I had a gut feeling that's what they were. ive come across a lot of pan foes and have been fooled many times but these didn't look like the pan foes ive seen before. as for the other ones, the blue dye totally threw me off and I just had to know what they were. its good to know that can happen to mushrooms. in the future ill be sure to keep an eye out for herbicide dye at my spots.

I've seen Galerina sprayed with the same glyphosphate/dye mixture, they looked active as hell!
