Habitat:
The dirt in the shade of an oak tree. The area receives only intermittent light. A sprinkler system provides humidity.


Stem: Thick, white, fleshy, and hollow.

Caps: Black

Bruising: No bruising that I noticed.

Other information:
They popped up following rain.

i would say p. hadriani. dig out one egg if its pink its hadriani. they are edible anyways.

Wikipedia suggests that the egg is a delicacy in some cultures, but anything known colloquially as a stinkhorn...

I imagine the egg has the texture of snot anyway. Stinkhorns are really common here (p. impudicus; which coincidentally is also a big/stocky one; I'd say the one in the OP might be this species) and I have frequently touched the eggs because they feel like they are gel padded; it's really odd - there's not much else that feels quite like this.

And no, it's not a sexual fetish of mine.

But if that's what you want to think, fine!
