Couldn't help but draw parallels between psychedelic experience and rides. I know the analogy is played out, but dang after a summer of it was no fear just enjoyment of the rides. MAXair a giant spinning pendulum was probably my favorite today. It was great everyone is being thrown around on this spinning chaotic vortex screaming there heads off and im in bliss, just at peace with the whole thing. Letting go feeling the forces and taking in the sights, loved it.

Second is the Top thrill Dragster. Launches you like a rocket at 120mph up a 420ft to do a spin and plummet back down face first, took the front car twice.

The power tower, I did the drop. Basically you ride to the top and free fall back down. This one got me for a sec but then i was like oh that's fear stop resisting and let it go then bliss again.

Now all this good stuff lead me to something else, i need a GF but you know i get them jitters and fear. There was enough good looking girls but this one i wanted to get her number she would not have turned me down but its kinda odd being in a line if it does gets weird your stuck there. Thing is the next ride she was right there again next to me. I know she wanted me to talk to her she was looking at me and at times walking next to me like she knew me, the opportunity was there but i didn't take it and i should have. Lesson is i cant be completely shy and live like that, same approach as the roller coasters, stop resisting let go and just ride.
There was a zombie house that was cool. Just went with it and let it freak me out, just had fun with it and let it get me scared.
Also my best friend who iv been on the outs with for over a year contacted me today also after my sis post a facebook pic of us there (i don't have a FB). He got a hold of me after some time and im happy, feels good.
Just a really good day at the amusement park with my sister.

i went to burning man again this year and had a disconnect from the whole experience while on lucy, until the next morning. then it was all party again. i had to try it there. everything was amazing of course but there comes a point where the trip is consisting of the lights and people or the Aztec visuals in my head. i had to go with the Aztecs finally.

Sometimes you just got to get away from the crowd and do your thing. Burning man is on the list. My mom, a very conservative catholic said she would go to burning man if i started going to church with her .
She asked if she would have to do drugs and i kinda smiled and said not if you don't want to mom.

hah, interesting.
I used to costume design for cedar faire parks(not cedar pointe, but they all have similarly themed haunt attractions). Had to walk through the attractions with a radio to do periodic check ups to do quick touch ups and stuff on actors. I usually was walking through all the heavy fog and scary shit by myself meekly going "..uh..uh no, it's just wardrobe, you cool?" after some actor came charging at me with an axe or something.
Very fun, unique experience that has rendered all haunted houses a totally useless endeavor.
edit:
Never noticed that psychedelic parrallels between the rides, but my job was high stress and I was often staying late - and even sleeping at work, spent a lot of nights in completely abandoned amusement parks. Often took their golf carts(supervisors and management use these when the park's closed to get around quicker) out for a quick joy ride around the park at 3am when I had to blow off steam. Very trippy.

Sounds like a cool job. I went to two houses the zombies and the haunted mansion. Zombies won because my sis and I were the last ones in the group so they kept getting at us and chasing. The mansion we were in the middle so we saw it all and the actors liked to talk, zombies don't talk they just feed and growl.

It was, I did other work for their live entertainment department and have gotten a lot of chances to basically treat amusement parks as my own personal jungle gym(sometimes literally, as I've also done lighting work that warrants climbing into odd places.)
The hiring process for the actor positions is basically "are you able to function as a human being? can you give me a scary scream? no...oh well, we're gonna put you here." because they have so many roles to fill. Some attractions I couldn't help but cringe walking through at the way some of these people scared. I've also dressed up on occasion myself when I had nothing to do for the night and have scared people and it's not an easy job. It's like 6-8 hours of aerobic activity and douchebag 13 year olds trying to give you some lip(I was in a dropping picture frame that was a 100% success scare cuz of the noise it made and I would just sit there hunched in a dark wall listening to some shitty little kid talk back to a very tired actor muttering 'c'mere you little cunt, once you turn the corner i'm gonna make you piss your pants'

It's actually a great part time temp job(usually pays about 10 an hour give or take, and is weekends only for most places) that pretty much ANYONE can get by walking in. there were bonuses for actors who inspired any release of bodily fluids of the patrons at the parks I was at. Yes, scared people pee and shit, and it's gross, and makes the actors very happy.

Edit: One of the actors in the mansion asked if i liked to collect bones, I was like

LOL, they repeat the same shit over and over and over again too throughout the night so everytime I walked through I was just like...
 'no it's wardrobe again.'
from what I understand cedar pointe is actually one of the better staffed ones so, you can't even imagine how bad it can get sometimes.
