Maggots found inside my drying shrooms?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum
Hey gang no less than 48 hours ago i picked some mushrooms and have them drying in paper bags in a dark room. Upon inspecting them today i noticed a few little white buggers floating around in the gills. I have done a search and am pretty adamant these will go away and die when they dry completely or am i wrong? is there something wrong or anything i should take into consideration? i don't want to eat anything that is going to be detrimental to my health or make me sick ect.
Actually i heard maggots are pretty nutritious and a "delicacy" in some countries.. but come on KNOWING they are there and putting them in my mouth is... *gulp* kinda hard for me to swallow :/
Anything i can do? Has anyone else ran into shroom maggots and gotten past it with good results? are my mushrooms f***ed up? They look good and seem to be drying quite well for the most part the only concern is these damned maggots!!
Any advise/responses guys or gals?
(one side note: i didn't see bajillions of these little guys either just incase your thinking when i say maggots on shrooms i do not mean completely covered in them or infested beyond your wildest imagination. Maybe around a dozen in total that i plucked out with tweezers & i checked all my caps and pulled as many as possible but i know i couldn't have gotten them all)
Thanks!

I would cut the mushrooms in half and see what is still left. I imagine not much.
Don't dry mushrooms inside of anything. Always out in open air on paper towels or newspaper with a fan.
Better yet get a dehydrator and use that.
I don't know what to say about the consumption of your maggots.

What do you mean "what is left?" the mushrooms are completely intact so i have no clue what you mean by "what is left" *unless you mean the maggots of course* like i said there wasnt thousands of them.. just around a dozen on around 5-6 of 30 caps. (im hoping they will croak upon becoming fully dry..) sorry if i sound impatient or whatever i just hate hate hate insects o.O these little dudes are prolly tripping their little hearts out. The shrooms just have a few little bean sprout looking buggers sleeping between some of the gills but i READ they will die upon drying and that they CAN infact be dryed in a paper bag. I do not have a dehydrator so that is out of the question. And i do not "consume" maggots if you read the post im trying to find a way to get rid of them without spraying Raid on them or any other nonsense.

I probably wouldn't eat em. Just a personal choice. Maggots don't seem like they would provide a nice palate.
As for the mushrooms, they make more. I guess you could pick out the maggots if you really want to try the mushies.

What I mean is that most of the time I see one or two maggots on the outside of a mushroom there are 50-60 on the inside.
Which I hope is not the case for you.
Just my experience.
Go ahead and dry them in the bag if you want. But I am telling you that any container will hold moisture. And co2 which will promote mold.
But what do I know? Ive only been hunting for 8 years.

I did not come here to question your hunting experience Mr. Sir. But yeah thanks for not answering the OP. Okay whatever my persian cat found these portobello mushrooms
Now then, will these maggots DIE when the mushrooms DRY OUT?? or what? IDC if they are still in the mushroom once they are dry cause Dead=Dead, don't gotta worry about more coming or eggs they might have laid or shits they might have left over, that was my question and i haven't seemed to get a straight answer yet.
Thanks

that was a different question Mr. Sir
I was mainly concerned whether these Maggots die and go to Hell or GO AWAY (whatever) Like i tried to made painfully obvious in the OP upon the mushrooms drying. WILL THEY DIE??
Thanks Ganzig. <3 just read they will die "silly" :P thanks so much i was really paranoid about having maggots crawling inside my beauties.
Thanks guys!!! lifesavers.

I was under the impression that they don't die unless you dehydrate them with a heat source.

"wroth a heat source" lol
If they dry out completely then they will die.
But being in that bag they are eating your mushrooms as we speak.
I really suggest taking them out and putting them in front of a fan.

-.- i hate that. So much. LOL stupid moocher maggots! my kitty found them first!!!!!!!!! you think if i put them on a ladder next to my ceiling fan with the lights out will dry them overnight? lmao cause i don't have any small fans laying about unfortunately. Could the oven do the trick at a low temp? i have heard it can help with the drying process as well but keep in mind i do not wish to destroy the magic that lies within.. ofcourse
Kudos.

depends on the how many. once a bag a shrooms was filled with worms. guessing they was fungus gnats, they played on my mind cause there were so many and I ate them.. since I had to consume all my shrooms I was a little fucked up thinking. "AND the worm ate into his brain" shit..

I take it these are psilocybian mushrooms?
The larvae themselves are extremely unlikely to be harmful, but I wouldn't want to eat them during the comeup of of psilocybin experience.
I would foresee it going one of two ways for me:
A strong sense of appropriateness, in dismissing cultural preconceptions about what food really is and an acceptance that the foodchain is a beauriful, fluid and dynamic thing,
or a strong and persistent paranoia about foodborne illness.
--------------------
Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.
