Habitat: Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
Under conifers in mixed forest pnw.
Gills: Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
Crowded and attached light yellowish.
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
4.5 inches vulva to cap. Solid stem yellowish in color same as cap. .25 - .5 inches thick. .75 at vulva.
Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
2.0 inches across. Yellowish to light brown w/ veil remnants (warts)
Spore print color: Very important!
White
Taking print but KNOW this is an amanita. (white)
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
No bruising

Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.
I know this is an amanita muscaria does not look exactly like a gemmata and I don't think guessowii occurs here, but it sure looks like one. Thanks in advance for any help. After further keying looks like may be variation franchetii. TI to confirm please; is this ibotenic/muscimol containing species or amatoxin?

Tentatively, I'd put that in or around A. panterinoides.
This is not a definitive identification.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

From the description, the stipe supports something in that direction. I don't know that that species occurs in the Americas specifically.

Right. Its with all the other Amanitas that we give European names to.
Probably a different species but that's what we have been callng them. Or A. aspera.

I suspected A. Franchetii as well or A. pantherina crossed with A. something. So I'm guessing no amatoxins here? Thanks for the help fellow shroomerites.

I shouldn't think so, but I would not be in any great hurry to make such a conclusion.
