Bacterial contam? Safe?

Inside my SGFC it smells what like a wet chalk board sponge. I'm having some shriveled caps that look a bit gross, but other than that they are okay. I took them a couple of times already, some as tea, some munched up, and I sometimes have bloatings in the guts.

Also is it possible that there could even be aflatoxins (aspergillus flavius type of toxins which can harm the body)?

It sounds like you're dealing with bacteria. If you're misting and the water isn't able evaporate from the lack of fresh air, bacteria will flourish in the wet areas on the caps. They start turn a brownish and then black color and get slimy.

As far as I know the bacteria are harmless to people and should be killed by drying or boiling but I wouldn't recommend eating any mushrooms that you think may actually be rotten or have any kind of odor like that.

Increase the fresh air in the fruiting chamber so that after you mist those droplets evaporate in less than an hour and never mist while they're already wet from the last misting.
