Oh Yeah, we have shrooms!!!!

Yes boys and girls there is a Santa Claus! It has been about 10 days since my casing and cakes went into the fruiting chambers and I now have much fruiting going on. The casing is progressing a little slower then the cakes, but it looks like there is gonna be a sheeeetload of shrooms coming up. Lots of little pins poking through. The cakes are growing fruit bigger and faster, but mostly from around the bases. I'm seeing some primordia at the tops now though. This is my first attempt and it is only possible due to all the advise I've read on this site and I want to thank everyone! Here are some pics. I'll add more over the next few days.

New pics and some info:
Followed PF tek using BRF and vermiculite. Innoculated 6 pint jars with Cambodian and 6 with Hawaiian. No contams, one jar no growth due to excess moisture after boiling. Birthed 9 cakes into 14 gal Rubbermaid with perlite for humidity, made a 2 cake casing out of 2 Hawaiian cakes and put in seperate Rubbermaid, same size. Tried the hand misting/fanning thing for about a week w/no pins. Then rigged an air pump with long stone strips under the perlite in both tubs running 24/7. Drilled two holes at the top of each tub for gas exchange. Got pins within two days. The pics show growth at day 13 in chambers. The casing is Hawaiian. The cakes with the larger fruit are the Cambodian, the cakes with the smaller fruit but much more pins are Hawaiian.

Excellent job for a first grow dude!

Only thing I suggest is PUT SOME WET VERM ON TOP OF THOSE CAKES!!

And cold-dunk 'em after the first flush and roll 'em in verm.

And cut down the humidity on the casing.

You're in for some GREAT trips!

I'll probably always do drugs, so that just contributes to the addiction to The Shroomery... It's a vicious circle of bliss. :tongue2:

Thanks Trip, I was wondering about the humidity with the casing. I went the other way yesterday and added a second air strip to the chamber, easily reversed though. I'll try a bit less today. I'm going to do the " dunk and roll" after the first flush with the cakes. Can't wait for the weekend :tongue2:
