    #19003900 - 10/20/13 01:09 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

for the record, i tried to upload these to the shroomery, but was unsucessful in doing so, thus the HUGE pictures

Habitat:
found in a playground, growing on a mixture of woodchips and mulch. northern PA

Gills:
yellow; yonger ones hase covered with a veil, older ones are not, attatched. gills.

Stem:
thick with larger specmins, not hollow. yellow

Cap:not all have a defined shape, most have a dark spot in the very center, while the rest

Spore print color:
printing ......

Bruising:
seems to bruise brown

Other information:

i think the pictures will do alot more justice than my poorly filled out id request.

Lots of great pictures!  They are a Pholiota species.

I agree with Jet li - you don't want to keep those.

Pholiotas can be hard to ID without microscopy.  If you have a microscope you can download AH Smith's Pholiota book from the umich website and key them out.

You can set a size limit to pictures in your account.

If they are too large for your screen, you can set the max image size in your display preferences.

Nothing wrong with using offsite image hosting.  I prefer it so the pictures are large without having to click on each one.
