Well so it's my dad's birthday today, and he was digging around his old lab stuff (he used to do bacterial culture kinda stuff) and what did he find? 3 pyrex petri dishes for me! so, I am going to clone tissue from the inner stem of some of the larger fruits from my PF cakes that are goin' on right now into the petris (so i can see better) and then transfer from those into mason jars, and if those take off then use htose as masters for grains and then g2g and off to bulk we go! the trick seems to be getting a nice, clean, strong culture so let's do this shiz baby. pix soon.

You're going to need a SAB at the very least to keep that agar clean.
Find the agar/sterile procedure videos here Unless you've already seen this stuff then, disregard.

okay yall, made my still air box, did some VERY FLAILY not super sterile transfers to the grocery store agar tek agar, 3 in glass petris and 2 in mason jars. It's been cold here and since i wasn't super sterile I'm keeping them inside a see through tub at 21 degrees. It has been 4 days since the transfers and guess what?
I SEE RHIZO GROWTH!!! first i thought hey, maybe its ust bacteria or mold, i knew i fucked it kinda, but white stringy growth looks hella rhizo to me.
Pics in 1-2 days. I'M SO PROUD! especially since my first cakes just finished flushing and got contammed, and the chicken tray i spawned turned out to be contammed aswell. Thums down sad panda for noob growing. Still got aout 11g dried total off of 4 cakes in really crap environments.
BUT AGAR!!!! CLEAN CULTURE! TRANSFERS AND WEDGES AND MASTER GRAINS AHOY! /ME DANCES

Lol agar is a lot of fun to play around with. You can order a sleeve of 20 disposable plastic petri dishes for about $10 and they make agar work a lot easier

since i've fucked up grains every time i've tried an LC or MS inoculation, if i'm giong to learn patience and sterile technique, i might as well do it right.
