I was wondering what everyone else's preferences were on picking, do you pick at night or during the day? Daytime meaning morning or evening.?

Daytime, when the fire orb giveth light to see by.
It depends on when I have the time to do it. I'd hunt from dawn to dusk during season, If I had half the chance.

If im looking for glow in the darks i go at night. But usually I find it so much easer to hunt in the day time. Something about the sun light all around me just makes it so much easer to see those guys. hmmmm

I do best at night but that's just me. The fields I hit normally have farmers or this time of year hunters out during the day. If you cannot be seen by anyone during the day then for it.

I'm actually about to go pick a spot now (1am) that I wouldn't dare pick during the day as it would draw too much attention.
HUNT during day and PICK during night if necessary.

Be wary of horses at night also. Unless they are VERY familiar with you. They may tolerate and accept your presence during the day. But that horse you may have recently befriended with a bag of apples and everything seemed to be all " gravy and biscuits",can become an ENTIRELY different beast at night. Don't let this stop you, though. Hunting at night is its own world. No explanation can be given. Just be sure to try at least once in your life. I mean DEEP woods. At night. Alone. Don't cheat yourself out of the experience!

Yeah well my spot is so DEEP woods that I get all sketched out by myself out there even with a pistol on my waistline. I only bring the pistol because I started hearing at 3-5 am what I think to be a chupacabara or some sort of beast. All I hear is screams and it sounds like its right underneath me then it sounds like its 100 yards away. Whatever it is it has me waiting to go pick my field until the sun comes up now!

I have been chased out of a field by a bunch of cows before and one time a bigass cat I'm guessing was a bobcat or cougar, stalked me through the field until I finally wussed out and left. All I could seewere its big green eyes
