New user here with some questions

First of all I would like to introduce myself to everyone on this awesome website and thank everyone for the TONS of information I've came away with; I thank you all for that. I just now decided to join today, just felt like it was time. I've got a couple of successful grows under my belt using pf tek but recently have tried stepping it up to a bulk monotub tek.
I'm currently trying out WBS for spawn (using Doc34's Tek), using LC to knock em up. Last time I tried I failed, not sure why but I think I shook them too much (like once every 3 days). That, and I had a tiny hole in the lid (not allowing adequate GE?). They just completely stalled and wouldn't finish colonizing. I waited for them for almost 2 months LOL.
Anyways, I was thinking about only shaking them directly after I knock them up and not messing with it after that. Is that alright or should I shake more than that?
Also, last time I filled the jars (quart jars) pretty full. Is that maybe what stalled them on me last time?
sorry for the book and all the n00b questions. I've spent a loe of time reading teks and info and I just DO NOT want to fail again.
Peace & Love

I'm a noob myself , but according to what I have read, you don't shake the grains right after inoculation, you wait for the mycelium to get stronger, and when the jars are 25/30% colonized then you shake them
filling the jars is 2/3 if you are gonna do g2g and 3/4 if you are inoculating each jar, hope that helps

My first one stalled because the mycelium raised the grain up and cut off the air supply I broke down and opened the container it had that fresh mushroom smell but border line spoiled so threw it outside in some store bought cow poop mix with some soilless potting mix now it's doing great.

cool thanks guys. The WBS is soaking now, I'll make sure I don't fill my jars tomorrow more than 3/4. Hopefully it goes better for me this time.
I still haven't got the tub yet. going to go 18Gallons I'm thinkin'.

Shake the jar one time only, when 20-30% of the grains in the jar is covered in myc. If you shake them every 3 days they only get the time to recover, but not grow anymore.
Don't use lc's. They're easy to fuck up and not recommended for anyone but experienced growers. use g2g to expand your mycelium.
