Isolate Question.
    #19000016 - 10/19/13 02:36 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

I have been quite lately. But I have a question and don't know if it goes here, or in advanced mycology. I imagine here because it is just a simple question about sectoring and isolates.

Is it possible to accidentally get two sectors in one isolate?

In the image above I somehow managed to get two strong isolates. One is rhizomorphic and the other is fuzzy white (can't remember the name of that type). I imagine that I could sector these two out into new dish's soon and end up with a true isolate. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Here is a picture of another sector from the same dish that I transferred out.

They are not perfect, but I believe thanks to Frank, RR, Stro, and Nota that I am getting better and learning more as I go.

Thanks

No....the definition of an isolate is that there is no sectoring.
