Psilocybe cyanescens.

In future, take your spore prints longer than that. Those are all we needed this time, but they are somewhat faint.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Thanks for your ID
Myself and a friend both thought they could be but I keep reading about the bruise being brilliant blue?

These bruise very dark.

And how long should a spore print be taken for?

Depends on the mushroom. For these; between 4 hours and overnight.

Mushrooms don't read clocks. You should print them until the print is reasonably heavy; some two or more times as heavy as that. There are times when it may matter.

As for the bruising, it is rather variable. watch them periodically as they sit for several hours and you will very likely see it get much more vibrant.

OK, based on current consensus (and against my better judgement) my friend is contemplating eating these.

Are you certain they are P. Cyanescens?

Personally I dont trust myself enough to eat anything I find myself so these will not be for me.

Any help from all is appreciated.

Thank you Canid for your help btw.

Is this more like the kind of print I should try for when asking for an ID?

Thanks
