Paranoid that my WBS jars are too dry and stalling...

I prepped the WBS as i always have. 20lbs in a 5 gal bucket with a screen over the top of it. Thoroughly rinse, soak 24hrs, rinse again, invert the bucket 6hrs to dry.
This is how i have done things many times before with perfect results. Though I haven't done a grow in 4yrs...
The WBS looked exactly like it always has as i loaded it into quart jars. Then I PC'd for 90-120min at 15psi.
Some jars are showing more growth than others, but i feel like what growth appeared within 4 days after MS inoculation basically stopped.. If i turn the jar on its side the top layer of wbs will freely roll around and it just seems kind of dry to me.. I am also paranoid that maybe I filled them too full and maybe they are choking of air so i removed the coffee filter dust-caps to expose the polyfil filters directly to fresh air.
Any thoughts? How can I tell if the moisture content is off?

This is about what the best of the jars are looking like. Some are not nearly as far along as this though... I don't get it.

If jars are anywhere over 20% colonized, give them a shake.
The grains look fat, and hydrated. I'd say you're fine.
You can't do anything about it other than wait, so... be patient!

They were inoculated 6 days ago, I've got to go out of town for a week so I think I'm going to shake and see where they are at when I get back home. Maybe I'm just being neurotic about them.

6 days for MS? You're fine man. Just leave them, and shake when you get back in town.

Damn dude a lot time the spores take 4 to 10 days to germinate and start growing. You're just being impatient

That's some good growth for only 6 days... You should congratulate yourself on a good start.
If it were "I", I would give it 2-3 more days and give it a shake. You could possibly do it now, as some might suggest. I usually wait until about 20-25%. or 8-10 days.
One of those things that you'll find what works best for you.

I had this same issue and decided to be patient . What I did do was keep the aggressive one separate to make prints. If I was not down to my last 6cc of spore solution I'm saving for my mono tub kit I would have experiment with injecting 2cc of sterilized water in the grain jar.
