dreams that arent about you
    #18998358 - 10/19/13 02:13 AM (10 years, 4 months ago)

I had two dreams last night, both focusing on a female protagonist.
In the one dream, she was an old school soldier defending her land from what appeared to be conquerors... I believe she died

The following dream was in similar fashion..A woman was walking in a forest-type landscape and she had a broken hand or something.  She put her hand on a stump and a beam of light came from above and healed her.

Neither dream had me in it

Talking about dreams is kinda pointless, but these dreams are interesting to me because I wasn't involved...More so like a witness to someone else's dreams.

Anybody relate or share similar stories?

Yeah I can relate and I wish I knew why.

I had a dream once where my appearance was different. I knew it wasn't me, but I didn't remember my waking appearance too. Kinda weird.
But during most dreams I don't see my appearance, I just know that it's me.

Yeah, well - dreams are the natural fluffy essence of the mind where the individual crosses over into the impersonal or entirely human realm of shared archetypes. The archetypes aren't so many in number.  Their dress is as infinite as diverse humanity.  Somewhere in there we pick up cues we don't know about consciously like perhaps we can hear someones TV from across the way going on about war.

Fact is, war is always there, so is every other thing of human interest.  Life is a wheel and we only know about where the tire touches down.  You are the wheel and the wheel doesn't much change.  The images of dreams are just window dressings on the soul.

Somewhere, on some level, we all touch, because we are all essentially the same.

every character in every dream you've ever had is you.  a reflection of an aspect of you.

I just woke up from a nightmare/night terror , one of those dream within a dream situations but i didn't know i was dreaming so i would wake up from the dream in the dream and be stuck in the nightmare under the impression it was reality. I feel like i just took a bunch of drugs or something.

:um:

with my understanding of the Law of One i'll even take it a step further and say that everything you have ever observed in your entire life...is YOU.  the one is the all, the all are the one.

and i must say, it is pretty condescending to imply that anything learned from a book is somehow fanciful.  humanity has been using books to share and spread knowledge for eons so what's your problem with books?

i know the answer to that; you are still stuck in that never ending game of determining what is true and not true in creation.  it's ALL true!  you have never had a single belief in your life that wasn't true for you and neither have i.  the statement i made in the above post is my belief and and that alone makes it 100% true...for ME.  there is nothing in creation to contradict me.  do you understand what i mean by that?  believe anything you want and you will find yourself in a reality where those beliefs are reflected.  there are no boundaries to this concept.

bashar explains this better than i ever could.  please watch the first 2 minutes of this video and try your best to leave your beliefs about whether or not channeling is 'true' aside for those 2 minutes and see if any of it resonates with you.

if you don't watch the video, here is the main quote:

"your perspective is your truth.  it may not be everyone's truth.  their truth may not be your truth.  but the fundamental truth that is true for both of you is that both of your truths are true.

I had many dreams of that kind. Sometimes they wouldn't focus on any character in particular.

Just the other night I had a dream that was following this dog like entity, or perhaps literal dog, I cant remember. He was roaming through the woods, chasing trails, doing some mundane and simple tasks. Like exploring, getting on a new check points, running after cats.. It had a sense of a video game for children, cheerful and frivolous. And by the night time he would get back to his dog house for sleep..

Have you considered that perhaps those female characters were you in some other lifetime... if you believe in reincarnation and stuff?

during my prophetic dreams phase I had a dream I was driving with my wife far far away and we were out of gas and I was at a station and filling my tank and the gas just kept overflowing my tank and I was knee deep in it.

then I woke up next morning and there was a big oil spill in Russia

that didn't feel like me
though I was still in it

wonder what That means

But since that's not what I said I guess that doesn't apply now does it.

Yes I have And its nice to think about but idk what it does for me nowadays.

Dreams are so cool yet irrelevant, as far as I'm aware.
But then I wonder why did I have that dream to begin with?  How was that world in my mind?

Everything about life just boggles me...I don't expect to understand anything, but can't help but wonder/try to.

I had a dream where this lady appeared near me and I saw her as she flashed next to me. As if she just teleported from some other reality into mine at the same moment, and right after she teleported she disappeared again.

I actually had this dream a month before I had one where I appeared to enter someone elses dream, and like you, I myself was excluded from appearing in the dream. It was as if the person that conceived of the dream purposely tried to remove me from appearing, as if he didn't wish to conjure me up into his dream and decided to abandon me.

What a load of shit. So the Earth is flat then? "Fer YOU it is". Idiocy.

So you make no distinction between beliefs and reality. And before you go off on some nonsense about what reality is, it's what's happening whether that YOU you seem to be obsessed with is there to believe it or not.

Meditate one that questions you asked, and after a while write down your answers. "A while" can be an hour.. day.. week, whatever works for you
