Wild Ps. Stuntzii Specimens Not too much stuntzii material here other than BlimeyGrimey and CaptainFuture. Should be interesting. 10-24-13Swiped some of the wild stuntzii spores on some MEA. Pic taken through a sandwich baggie with dust on it. Got kinda busy trimmin, just recently got around to pouring the plates on the 22nd. They're all sitting in a cardboard box, in sealed ziploc baggies in stacks. I wrap any inoculated petri with parafilm in their own stack with a dust cover. Im waiting a couple more days to see if the majority of them contam in baggies, since every sleeve of petris i ordered were punctured We'll see how it goes. If all plates go bad ill have to order new petris since these were punctured, and that'll take a bit more time. Damn postal service

Well i pick em myself outdoors, so i know they can fruit in 90F degree weather its all about how much moisture they get, at least at my patch.
My plan is to get a clean culture goin, expand the myc on grains, spawn a ton outdoors, as well as some to test out on indoor trays and monos.
Substrate will probly be something consisting of wood/horse dung/dead grass/verm or something of that nature. Mix dry ingredients, bring to field capacity, pasteurize at 140-160F for an hour, spawn things as usual.
We'll see how it goes. I fell asleep after i mixed the agar lastnight around 2am, never got to sterilize it and it solidified in the bottle ..I'll have to re-melt it and bring to 13-14psi for a good 40mins. Too much bubba kush and hunting for cyans. .........

Well plate swiped with spores looks exact same now, as it did on Oct24, which is a good thing since anything before that is suspected to be contams. Its been 6 days since inoc'd, im expecting to see some growth within the next 4-8 days.
Gladly, none of the plates have shown any signs of contams 8 days since pouring, even though the petri sleeve was punctured *knock on wood*. Need some more petris. We'll see how it goes.

As a side note I had better luck with sterile bulk subs as the pasturized ones never colonized fast enough

Nice to know.
You ever get them to fruit? I'll have to spawn some to pasteurized and some to sterilized, and see which way works better.

Its been 18 days, and there is no growth at all whatsoever on the agar. I ran outta petris for the time being, so this might not get going for awhile. Thinkin ima boil som woodchips, and use the resulting woodchip tea to prep some agar with, so the spores have something to recognize and germ on.
