They certainly look like they could be an active pan species, but you should wait for a proper ID. You should also get some spore prints. They look just right to drop spores in a few hours. It also looks like there is bluing on some of those strands of mycelium.

Now I'm almost certain those are pan cincts. That is an extremely black spore print. Plus, the stems are nice and red.

I don't think that bluing is something you will regularly see on cincts. I think the red coloration of the stems and the extremely black spore prints are the key features to look for.

Okay, thanks. I'll take some more prints I guess, and let a few of the new baby pins get into full-blow maturity and observe the results.

Yeah, I think you have to print each cap to make sure, because other pans often fruit at the same time & in the same spots. On the other hand, inactive pans won't hurt you if you manage to eat them.

There is a clear uniformity to the mushrooms, I only added about 10 dried up cow pies as manure into a large pile of mulched and decomposed grass and fruit scraps. I'm certain there are at least 3 or 4 species growing in that field, but this is a out-break of this particular species, whatever it may be, I'll go snap a photo for you to see them. I'm sure that will help you to judge better. And btw, there are no natural occurring mushrooms that I've seen in this area of the island, so it has to be from this low land coastal pasture, which is on the edge of the island and in the main wind-drift-stream to deposit all the active spores. Anyway, brb.

Those are Panaeolus cinctulus.

The one you singled out may very well be a different Panaeolus species, they often share substrate right next to each other.
