Your Precious Freedom

One thing that I've realized when you no longer live the life of a student and soon find yourself in the world of employment is that your free time means everything. Back when your a student, you couldn't give a damn, so with that being said, I say this now to all you students out there, soak up every last drop of free time that you have and savor the moment because it really is only once you find yourself working a nine to five that you realize how precious your time is.
With that being said, I've finally got a week booked off work that I've had in the pipeline for ages. What do I intend on doing with my time? Well, other than going out picking liberty caps, which was really the main reason I booked this time off, I plan on blasting my way through some awesome television series.
Has anyone seen Sherlock or Band of Brothers? I intend on working my way through each of the shows as I've heard nothing but glowing reports.
Other than that though, I'm going to laze around the house, drinking cheap scotch, smoking good weed and basking in my own farts.
What about you folks? You got anything lined up? Anyone had much joy hunting for libs this season? What about television series? Should I go ahead and watch these two shows or is there anything other than Breaking Bad and The Wire that you'd recommend?
Happy days!

Oh yeah.. and I'm going to give some AL-LAD a whirl. It's been sitting here doing nothing but gathering dust for quite a while now. The problem is, a twelve hour trip these days is what I'd call a commitment so I've been having to lay off the likes of LSD and other lengthy trips since I've always got responsibilities on the back of my mind - God dammit.. I sound fucking ancient.
But that being said, I'm looking forward to it. I've heard glowing reports about its similarities to LSD and since I've tried some really clean blotter/liquid in my day, I'm excited to see how it compares!

game of thrones is a must, i love that shit, only show I can sit through, that and its always sunny in Philadelphia, great show. Louie is also good. I can't really comment on anything else since I dont really watch tv at all. Anyways, hope you enjoy!
Freedom is something you earn, some people are given it right out the gate, but they dont appriciate it as much, so its squandered. I personally live a blessed life, and i couldnt be happier, I would never wish my life on anyone, since it was a life of pain and failures, however where i am now, its the dream of most people from any country!
Peace. . .

I can totally relate on the free time thing. The problem is, even though I realize how precious my free time is, I still piss it away doing inconsequential bullshit.
As for show suggestions, my buddy says Sherlock is great, but I haven't watched it yet. Band of Brothers is amazingly epic. I highly recommend everyone watch it at least once.
What kinda shows are you into? I could rattle off a list of quality TV series, but it'd be easier if you had some parameters of what you're looking for.

Thanks for the advice. I don't tend to watch too much TV myself but Games of Thrones and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are two shows that I've seen and thoroughly enjoyed. At first, I never thought I'd be too keen on Games of Thrones but it turned out to be phenomenal. And with It's Always Sunny, it made for some easy viewing while eating my dinner. Both shows are highly recommended!

Sweet. I'll make sure I watch Sherlock. After seeing Benedict Cumberbatch in the new Star Trek movie, something tells me I'm in for a treat!

The Walking Dead - Current zombie drama, on AMC same as BB was, lots of violence Dexter - About a serial killer who only kills other serial killers, recently ended, was on Showtime Justified - About a ballsy lawman and a variety of characters within a small rural community - better than it sounds, next season soon GoT - Amazing fantasy series, plenty of seasons still in the works
And some less popular but also great and raw series Ray Donovan - New showtime drama centered around a middle aged family man who's a "fixer" and excels at blackmail/extortion - just finished it's first season Hannibal - A prequel to the Hannibal movies. Nothing like "Bates Motel" (Psycho prequel) It has psychological-thriller-esque elements, truly disturbing gore, and an engrossing story full of twists and turns.

I've been having a lot of difficulty dealing with this lately. Being gainfully employed before most of the rest of my peer group has wreaked havoc on my social life. I'm starting feel like the fun part of my life is over, and I'm just waiting for everyone my age to become as boring as me.
