Accidental weed gardens ~ PART II

Here is the lovely little visitor who resides in my girlfriends back yard. She's a beauty eh? I'm positive it's a Sativa of some sort, she's been in flowering since the begining of August. I hope that September is decent, I can't wait to try her!
She had to train it to grow towards the ground because it was growing over top of the shed. She has NO idea how it got there, she's wondering if it wasn't in a bag of wild seed that she had planted! I'd guess that the plant is 11 feet high. I'll go back to visit her soon and keep you all updated!
Cheers

looks nice sally! good it started to flower so early; when you're lucky you can harvest by the end of september. (if it isn't snowing yet ) it looks like a sativa to me too. When you're about to get really bad weather or frost you can just harvest the buds even they're not fully grown and make yourself some nice brownies

It may be a hemp plant. If you don't get high off of it, it might still be good for mixing with weed to change the buzz.
Hemp has a whole different cannabinoid profile than marijuana. Mix it about half and half. If it is rich in CBD, which hemp usually is, it should make the buzz last for hours.

Wow,that is a nice plant. It is very much sativa. You can expect that plant to be done by the middle or end of october, not september. It aint indica.sativa can take up to four months to reach maturity.Give her a good bloom fertilizer too,for better and bigger buds.Pick the buds when half of the hairs turn red,and not a moment sooner.PEACE

Man,hemp does flower, but you will get a head ache before you will get high if you smoke it.Oh,and hemp still is cannibus,it just has a low concentration of thc in it.And without a male there to fertilize it will be pure sensimiia.that means not one single seed in it.PEACE

Hey mitchnast, (or anyone for that matter), could planting seeds just randomly in forest areas realistically turn into plants, or do they really need more care to get to be big plants? Maybe i'll do an experiment and just save all the seeds i ever get, and just shove em in the ground in various locations. If this were possible, would there being anything beneficial to do before I planted and let happen what happens?

As long as it has good light, decent soil, and theres not a drought, you can basically plant some seeds, and they will grow into full grown weed plants. Its a great Idea to start the plants off indoors untill there 4-6 inches tall.

Man,you probably wont get anything to grow if you just throw some seeds in the ground, cannibus is a delicate plant that require alot of care. That's why i beg to differ, when people say it is a weed.Weeds can grow out of a crack in the side walk,or basically anywhere.Cannibus on the other hand needs fertile soil, fertillization, and plenty of water, unlike regular weeds. If you plan to throw some plants out just anywhere, germinate some seeds first, and get them to their third or fourth set of leaves to insure they are hardy enough to make it.Give em a good fertilizer solution too.Man once they get to a certain point you will never have to mess with them again, and come fall you will have some big ass plants. They also need full sunlight,so a forest wont do,unless there is a clearing where full sun penetrates.but, all in all it is very simple to grow good herb.PEACE

no way man, its one of the least delicate plants you can grow but starting it indoors is a definate way to get a head start for best growth and bulk of flowering, of course for some, paramaters are practically religous doctrine. i add fert after planting, and i plant in feilds of thornbushes

But you gotta admit mitch,if you just throw em out anywhere, chances are, assuming they do grow, without proper care it will be schwaggy shit.PEACE man

Thats a beautiful lady you've got there. A few things to note. Cannabis is a weed, it is far from difficult to grow, but if you want to grow incredible marijuana it does take a certain level of commitment and difficulty. The color of the pistils (hairs) is not the correct way to determine ripeness. The proper time to harvest is when 1/3 to 1/2 of the trichomes have clouded over and changed to an amber color. In order to determine this you need a pocket microscope with atleast 30x magnification. These are available at radio shack (or canadian equivalent).

I already have that exact one!
I haven't been over to visit her (the plant) since I took those pics. Now in town it's a low and high of -1*C There's probably 4 cm of snow on the ground, so i'm sure it's covered in snow. I'll have to go and take a look, although my girlfriend said she was going to make a little plastic dome for her, I'm not sure if she has yet. In a couple of days it is supposed to be back in the +18*C, i'll go and have a look when the snow melts. What a sin if she dies from frost.
*also my little brother had the same kind of thing happen, all he did was left some seeds on the ledge of the deck and he figures they blew off. Next thing you know *voila* a healthy/ hearty plant is growing out from under the deck, through a piece of fence. He did take some clones to try and grow inside, and the mother is still growing outside, we'll see if the snow kills her.
I'll try and get over to see the big plant when the snow dries up and take a few more pics for all of you!

Damn, you must be way up in canada sally!snow has probably killed your girl.weed can't tolerate freezing cold temps. When I told you the plant wouldn't be done till the end of october,I wasn't thinking that you can't do that in cannada,by then it is starting to snow.Man here in florida it is 90 degrees and hot as hell,it never really does get cold here.you can grow weed almost all year round.I would go ahead and harvest her,if there is any thing left of her.Next year if you plan to plant some more, use an Indica strain, they mature in half the time of a sativa.sativa can take anywhere from 3to 4 months to mature, somtimes longer.Indica only takes 2 to 3 months to mature sometimes shorter, good luck.PEACE
