The Sentence of Condemnation
    #18992822 - 10/17/13 08:11 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

"And this is the sentence of condemnation: that the Light (Entheogens) has entered the world, and yet people have preferred darkness (alcohol, cocaine, opiates, etc.) to Light. It is because their actions have been evil. For anyone who practices are corrupt, loathes the Light and will not come out into (Them) in case their actions are exposed, whereas anyone whose life is true, comes out into the Light to make it plain that their actions have been divinely prompted." Gospel of St. John 3,19

Ice Ice lander, at ten thousand posts per year you simply can't expect to stay entertained all the time can you?

I personally liked this post above.  I remember reading Chinacat72's classic masterpiece on the thumbprint and laying sheets of blotter and he was one of The Acid Family and followed The Dead for years.

Then he became a heroin addict. I remember him saying something to the effect that the constant heightened awareness took its toll and he wanted to ground out.

To the OP, I get where you're coming from

God damn religious folks sure can be judgemental... So alcohol, cocaine, an opiates are evil and entheogens are some divine gift from god?

I'm in far too much of a good mood to be posting on the shroomery. A monthly dose of opium tea seems to make me whole. Psychedelics don't do it any more. What of the many people who can't get any psychedelics?

Oh -- you mean like the U.S. government who don't see any difference between LSD and dam (diacetyl morphine) - and classify them both as schedule I?

Psychedelics are my favorite.  However, I encounter them maybe once or twice a year.

I love getting drunk on the weekly.  What a great release it is.  It can be almost psychedelic with the way it forces me to encounter different parts of myself.

You blew my high. If the statement has US Government in it I can't believe it.  Governments are not the arbiters of truth.

When you said you (think you) know where I am heading, I assumed you meant that you think I'm going to end up as a heroin addict.

Was that not correct?

It was correct, but I was kidding, and I also was not basing what I said upon anything the US government said, but rather from Chinacat72.

To be honest I get what you're saying and I feel the truth of it, from the surface, but I don't think that it's the actuality of the situation. I think the actuality ios more like the Chinacat72 take on it.

Have you read his stuff?  Here - at - The Shroomery?

No, we prefer comfort and gluttony at a whole because psychedelics make us remember that we just crawled out the bushes as far as out evolution.

    #18997704 - 10/18/13 09:50 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

why would that make us prefer comfort and gluttony? I feel like, it is when I/we (if I may be permitted to speak for others) get out of balance, out of alignment with nature, that is when we fall victim to vices such as gluttony and addiction.

Anyway, what are you trying to say OP? Are you saying that as far as the drug world goes, psychedelics represent knowledge and light and body drugs represent darkness and ignorance? if so, I would agree. However, if you are saying that passage is speaking specifically about drugs, then I disagree. The darkness Jesus is speaking about is evildoing or denial of the truth, that we are all brothers and sisters from the same Creator. The world prefers falsehood to truth and wickedness to righteousness.

I want to add that your choice of drugs does not necessarily change this. In choosing to use psychedelics over opium, you are not necessarily choosing light. There can be wicked LSD users and good opium addicts.
