Different strain= Different chemicals?

Do all of the various varieties of mushrooms have different active chemicals in them or do all of the varieties (cubes, cyans, liberty caps, etc.) just contain psilocin and psilocybin that make you trip, and some just contain more or less psilocin or psilocybin?
I ask because some people say that different strains will define the outcome of the trip. But if the only active thing is the psilocybin then what would cause the trip to be any different no matter what kind of mushroom you took?

I think you are getting species and strain mixed up
Cyans, libert caps, cubes are all seperate species of the genus psilocybe
Strains are subjective differences based on appearance and some slight genetic variation due to natural processes.... Within a species
For the most part... There are basically 4 active chemicals found in mushrooms Each species will have different proportion of those 4 chemicals
Strains all will have the same proportion of those 4 chemicals, cause they are al the same species
Make sense?
See: http://www.erowid.org/plants/mushrooms/mushrooms_info4.shtml
Now here is the funny part... In your body... Psilocybin is changed to psilocin And psilocin is actually what causes the effect
BAEOCYSTIN is like psilocybin and is changed to a substance like psilocin

o.k first of all there is four active substances in psilocybin containing mushrooms. Psilocybin (4-phosphoryloxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine) Psilocin (4-hydroxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine) Baeocystin (4-phosphoryloxy-N-methyltryptamine) Norbaeocystin (4-phosphoryloxytryptamine) and each species of psliocybe contains a different cocertration of these chemicals in different porportions same with pans, gyms, etc.
now a cube is a cube all cubes are the same ,but range in activeness based on the amount of actives they have in them.
anymore questions i'll try to answer them to the best of my abilities.

Well different species contain different ratios and amounts of psilocybin, psilocin, norbaeocystin and baeocystin (I think azurescens are high in this) which might change the qualitative effects of a trip. I don't have any research to back it up or anything, but I also think that there are more compounds in shrooms that contribute to psychoactivity than those that have been identified.

This as well. The basic texture of trips varies between species - less so between cube strains.
