Thanks. tbh it still isn't enough info for an ID but when I tilt my screen to find some contrast in those caps and now that I can rule out it being the same as the mushrooms on the trunk, Armillaria seems plausible.

Ok my friend will send me some of these and I hope to get a spore print but as yet we don't know what they are. So what can I do to get you all what you need to id these shrooms? And what would be the best way to send them so I can get a print? I live in Key West and don't know of any clubs or specialist to consult here on what kind of shrooms they are but if they are edible and are armillaria sp I would like to try and grow some......any ideas? Thanks

If he sends them wrapped in brown paper and sheeny white paper there is a good chance they will print on the way, but can just send you some better shots first?

I did and there are 2 kinds he says the colors did not show up good.
The picture was taken in low light on a overcast day, so the colors aren't done justice. They're actually a bright orange. The fungi on the stump are white around the edges with a dark brown center. Some kid will stomp the hell out of them this weekend. Glad I remembered to take a picture before then
