It's not bullshit it's science. The faster it cooks, the better the crust. Unless you like dense bready crust.

So the first pizza didn't turn out as well as planned but I have enough dough for 4 more so it's all good
I put the cheese on too early. And the sauce was bland.
So I tweaked the sauce a bit, more garlic and herbs. And heated up the oven more.
Cooking the crust now, gonna add cheese later that before.

Biggest mistake is too much cheese, sauce, and toppings. Go light on all of it.

Weird, every pizza I ever made all the topping go on the dough and then it all goes in the oven.
I would suggest getting a pizza stone. There area also some kinds of bricks you can buy for cheap at a hardware store that do the same. Save a bunch of money.

Turned out well this time
400 degree oven, then put sauce/dough in the oven for 10 minutes.
Then added cheese and toppings until melted, and crust turns golden.
