Shut the fuck up and get out of the way.  You are wimpy little runts who get sand kicked in your face by the bullies in Washington.  Your policy is based on maximizing the chances of staying in office.  Your jock strap is comprised of a 'peanut shell and a rubberband' and you quiver and turn to jelly at anything that threatens your pathetic political existence.

Obama is your master.

I'm curious.  What would you have wanted the republicans to do?

Fight.  Remember how the media and the Dems said the sequester would be a disaster?  Some disaster.  Remember how the Republicans said BumCare would be a disaster?  They were right.  It is a complete clusterfuck.

There's not a whole lot they can do.  ACA passed, and it's the law.  It's going to remain the law until there are enough congressmen and senators that want to repeal it.  That isn't the case today.

In that context, what do you want them to do?  Pout?

Keep fighting it.  That is what they were elected to do. Keep hammering Obama on everything he deserves a hammer for.  Help more like minded candidates get elected.  Send the retarded Peter Kings and John McCains into retirement

This bill is going to end up impeaching itself soon enough.  I think that might have been the intention all along.

Go ahead keep fighting and keep making fools of yourselves.

They may have been elected by the minority to fight it, but MAJORITY voted FOR it. It was a major part of the election and the people elected the candidate that supported it.

If the ACA is going to die on its own, LET IT! Why are you holding the country hostage for something that will die on its own?

Looks like Peter and John are not the only retards out there.

They certainly spent a lot of time trying to repeal it. I think the house voted 40 some odd times to do that.

Isn't it nice how Mitch The Bitch Senate Minority leader, the 'conservative' from Kentucky, had a few billion of pork thrown into the trough? Now we can see what many republicans held out for.  They wanted some pork to sweeten things up.  Conservatives my ass.

OK congress, the charade is over.  Back to work on your compulsive spending.  :smirk:

Not really.  More like super-cynical since Lamestream Republicans are just Progressives who spend the money on different things than the democrats.  I could give a fuck about republicans also--so there really is no one to give a fuck about since we've been sold down the river by the 'One Party System'

ANYONE in politics. At least for the most part. Politicians have homogenized to not rock the boat. For instance if my entire livelihood revolved around popularity I woulnt be unpopular or I would be demoted.

In politics this happens, for a candidate who needs finances for instance, their livelihood revolves completely around getting that funding and paying it back in favors.

People involved in politics dont care about anything but being successful in their chosen path. You dont matter after a certain level.

That is somewhat true for everyone, but probably less so for politicians than for most people.  Everyone is out there serving their own interests, but politicians, on the average, make a lot less money than a similarly credentialed person would make in the private sector.

Some probably value power over money, but I'm sure that a fair amount of them chose to be politicians because they want to make our society a better place.

I have no doubt that a person would choose such a difficult life for the good of the people, ESPECIALLY in the lower level of politics. Its these senators, presidents, etc that need to submit to eachother, financiers, and not the people.

Nature of the system itself is broken  Has been, likely will be for as long as we leave responsibility in the hand of the federal government instead of state gov and eachother

If I hear anymore talk on here about poor politicians and how they are sacrificing for a low wage to do a duty to this country I'm going to vomit.

1/8 of the country lives in California, and the governor of that state makes around $100k...you think that's being paid well?

I don't think it is the salary but perks and after market value.  This is especially true in Federal Government.
