Are these safe to eat?
    #18988420 - 10/16/13 09:34 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Just bought my first batch of shrooms ever from an old friend. I trust him but not so sure I trust whoever he got these from.

I got them wet (bad sign already I know)

trying to dry them now but they just look weird and very wimpy to me. The stems were pretty thick but I split them in halves to make them dry faster.

My friend said that they are real just dry them first. He had them in a bag and obviously sat on them at some point or at multiple points because they were all pretty much flat when I got them, it's kind of hard to tell where the cap is. I can make it out though.

Not sure if I should try them or not.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

I would not eat those.

There is really no telling what those are, or more properly; what those used to be.

I'm curious just to see if they'll do anything, but I just don't want to risk getting sick.

You do realize that "getting sick" isn't your worst-case scenario here?

DON'T!  God.  Tell your friend to get lost.

You most assuredly do not. Depending on what these are, 'getting sick' means dying a very unpleasant death. Do not eat those, and ask your old friend to tell you exactly what he thinks those were.

I do, I'm honestly just not sure what to do, it would seem like such a waste of time and energy to just dump them since I went through hell trying to get them.

Let me tell you for sure what to do then:

Throw those out, or in whatever way do not eat them not allow anybody else to eat them. Ask your old friend to tell you exactly what he thinks they were. Pay close attention to the answer.

Consider your money gone. It is not unlikely a small cost to get rid of somebody you do not want to be associated with.

Not sure what to do next then. He charged me 30 for them but he said I can give him the 30 on Friday which was the plan.

Awesome.  Give him a wadded up piece of poopy toiletpaper and tell him your friend said it was 30 dollars.

Oh that's easy then. First you tell your "friend" they were bunk, second, you tell your "friend" to Fuck Off!

What about just putting them back into the bag and giving them back?

Then on friday, ask him what I suggested you ask him, and give him his mushrooms back.

If he charged you thirty dollars for what is in that picture, he is already no friend. If even he can not very speficically and accurately tell you what he thinks he tried to tell you, he should be kicked in the dick.

The problem with returning them would be that he's likely to either eat them himself or sell them to another unsuspecting victim...

Guess so, well I'm not going to be a jerk. Might as well just give him his 30, tell him what's up and not ever associate with him again.
