I placed these BRF cakes in a plastic fast food cup, mist once a day and fan a few times every day with the plastic lid. On the plastic lid, put some polyfil where the drinking straw goes. Place the miniature (and not too effective IME) fruiting chamber in a bright spot.
NOTE: I only use the fruiting cup method with cakes that are old and have flushed a few times. I hope this helps you.

Is that a cup in your pic? Would a half pint cake be enough to colonize the rest in bottom?

Hmm not too many shrooms, I'm not sure. You see, because the cakes were already near their throwing away time. It's good to use for small additional amounts of mushrooms...without taking up much space.

Thanks I used to use 2 liter bottles too, but I noticed using the Mickey D's cup as a fruiting chamber worked better for me than 2 liter soda bottles. Still..I think the fast food cup method I used is kinda.. meh :P
