not doing too well in school * 1
    #18987824 - 10/16/13 07:32 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

people know me as the guy who comes in class 20 minutes late. i got my engineering balances exam back and got 34. i thought it was all cool until i got my thermodynamics exam back and got a 35/100. man i feel like shit :frown:

the illusion i got off drugs was self-control. and its all it is, an illusion. i really believe if you are really dedicated to getting something hard and needs a lot of dedication done you are going to have a really hard time balancing out your wants and impulses. maybe it wasn't the drugs, maybe it was me.

people in my class were like you need to be responsible man. its for my own good.

i have 3 exams coming up next week and i just took an etizolam to feel a little better after having a rough day, i hope it will not affect my motivation to do better.

because i will do better, i will be more responsible of my shit and stop doing disassociatives every weekend for fun. its time to be responsible, its time to not fuck shit up again.

It's not school vs drugs... It's all about balance. You need a healthy amount of diverse things in your life. Things that make you work, things that help you relax, things that help you be creative, things that are centered around helping others, etc.

I've actually got the opposite problem. Schools been getting in the way of my drugs

Great idea. Take a benzodiazepine, a class of drug that disrupts memory formation. Good luck studying.

You should get off your ass and get some exercise.

Hopefully Kenny,
You realize that you still have 100% of the potential you had to begin with. I have a feeling you were probably waiting for the weekend all week. And this is fine and normal, as long as it doesn't mean neglecting your work. It definitely is possible to get high most weekends, but school has to be your main priority if you want to do well.
Good luck

That's the first step. I kinda assumed he took the etiz because he was freaking out about fucking up.
But yea OP,
Don't expect to be productive when using benzos/thienos (etiz)

I've been fucking up too man. Got a 76 on my last animal Bio test and a 64 on organic chemistry. I'm trying to find a balance between working 4 days a week, drugs, and school..

That's not bad.

But failing exams OP, that's rough.  IMO class isn't all that important, but everyone is different.  It sounds to me like you didn't really study.  Pretty hard to get a 35% if you actually studied the material beforehand unless it's a really hard class like digital communications or something.

thanks man that made me feel better

i'm just using it tonight to take the edge off. i hope the short half life of etizolam is done by the time i start doing shit tomorrow i'll be working on my fluids homework and hopefully studying some economics and materials science, got all those exams next week.

appreciate the support

pwnasaurus: i came into the exam 15 minutes late, i found about the exam 1 day before, i missed the last problem because i didn't have enough time, and thermodynamics is one of the hardest classes they say in my chemical engineering major. but thats no excuse for fucking up though.

I went over thermodynamics last week too...stuff is pretty fun. Freaken SHMT yo! Gotz your constant pressure calorimeter (measures  change Enthalpy) with coffee cups...n constant volume calorimeter (measures internal energy change) with bomb...

In constant pressure/volume, work can be ASSUMED as 0, which helps with easy thermodynamic calculations. However, there lies an accepted amount of error when compared to REAL values.

Hess's  law  helps with calculated change enthalpy on balanced chemical equations through other reactions, or through enthalpy table for compounds.

This week is quantum theory and heisenburg's uncertainty principle. I went over this in physics last semester so it's old news to me.

If you were too lazy to read the above...
General chem jumps around a lot with concepts....it requires honest, weekly study habits[\b]
At least look over notes and do some practice problems. And do them over again, just to make sure. Make your calculations feel second nature to you,

You can achieve your successes with some more effort. I definitely can too. The human mind is extremely powerful in academia through persistent synaptic potentiation.

Sounds like your a chemistry major. My thermodynamics goes over heat work potential energy kinetic energy enthalpy ins and outs equal to change in internal energy. Unsteady state systems for now, we're going into the Carnot cycle and efficiency later. Aww man heisenburgs uncertainty principle. My physical chem class was in that and schrodingers equations and energies and wave functions and I still don't understand it well enough.

Yeah man. Study everyday from now on. Study can be quite fun if you don't feel like shit.

Lol I took my redox test on an ecstasy comedown. It was pretty bad....but Sunday night was fudging killer :aweoverdose:

I got an 87...I should have definitely gotten more because I studied a lot with it(balancing half reactions required my full attention), but them darn drugs...I needed to :jah: before to get my head straight. Made silly errors, wrote equations with different coefficients, iwas FRUSTRATED/Annoyed w/ myself seeing that sober the next week
