Oregon, these were found near Troutdale. How would one know if these are Pleurotus djamor?

I'm thinking of taking a tissue sample to grow out my own culture. These are growing in the area that I used to live as a child. I thought Pleurotus Djamor would be more pink though

they were growing out of a dead tree. Here's another species of what I believe to be Pleurotus that was growing nearby on a stump/dead tree.

at that point in develpment, not really.

they grow down here and they are usually white right after the pinning stage.

if you could dry some, i would love to scope them.
i don't look at oysters often, maybe someone else can do a better job...

but, i would get them checked out...

cool find.

Ah all right and thank you! If these are a species of Pleurotus that is edible and tastes good, I'd be thrilled to grow a culture out.

I was gonna say, aren't those tropical? They'd definitely be a little out of place way up there.
