Need help with an ID please

Habitat:
Growing on soil with wood chips, near strawberry trees.

Gills:
The gills appear cream to light brown although the specimen I found look a bit old and dried out and this could be spore deposit.
Free and crowded.

Stem:
Probably abou 1 cm in diameter, and 8 (or so) cm high. Whitish and smooth, a bit club shaped.
The stem had a piece of veil remnant that appeared like a ring but was left behind as soon as I picked it up.

Cap:
Whitish/cream with very distinctive scales. Flat and with about 8 cm in diameter.

Spore print color:
I didn't get any spores out of this fella, it was already too dried out, I thought maybe it could have light brown spores due to the color acquired by the gills.

Bruising:
No bruising.

Other information:
I think it actually had a spermatic smell.
I really can't seem to able to find anything that resembles it but not knowing the spore color isn't helping,I was hoping someone would recognize it because of the distinctive cap.

Strawberry tree fruits, "medronho" :tongue2: they make a hell of a firewater

I also found this growing on an Eucalyptus log

Thanks
