I just realized why they weren't getting back to me (I submitted the contact form again, recently and it also went ignored). Well, as I said in my first post, ESET wants you to contact them and provide them with your old email, and ESET username and password. Well, I've been putting my old email in the "email" section of the contact form, as opposed to the message body. So I'm sure they are getting back to me, but I've been giving them an old email address. I was indicating my new email in the message body, but obviously whatever email is in the "email" section elicits an automatic action. Of course, they should be aware enough that if a customer emails them and their message says "my new email is...." they should respond to that email...
Also, I downloaded Kaspersky trial version during this limbo and I'd like to report that Kaspersky produces invasive messages telling you to buy the program, after the trial expires. The messages dominate the windows (they come to the foreground no matter what) and they even have a horrible sound to go along with them.

Hey, you know what I just realized? I didn't make an error. They specifically ask you to put the email address you used when you registered in that email field. I was right all along. Two emails so far, and no response. And I just sent my third email, and this time I put my current email address in the email field (presumably they were too dense to realize that they should respond to the email address that was in my message body).

Hey, you wanna hear something funny? ESET still hasn't gotten back to me in regard to their requirement of users to contact them to alert them of an email address change (verified with info such as user name and password, which I provided, having kept a print out of my original receipt).
Just made a thread on ESET's forums (obviously that's the only way to try to reach them considering their direct contact doesn't seem to work ); let's see what course this takes:
