My First Real Agar/Isolate Work

So in the past I have just used some wide mouth 1/2 pint jars for my agar work. All I was doing then was just doing a few transfers every once in a while so I would never run out of something to inoculate with if my jars ever all got contam'd or something. Like a last resort/keep things going type of thing.
I ordered some petri dishes a couple weeks ago and have my first round started off in them. Things went well for the first time using petri's, and now it is time to do a transfer from them.
Now this one is from a treasure coast strain that I have been using consistently for the past 2 years. It can be 'linked back' to my first and original MS syringe I got. Went from MS --> LC --> grains --> agar --> g2g's over the past couple years. This strain on agar seems to really be opening up and stringy compared to the other one I have going that seems more condensed.
What I really need some insight and help for is deciding where to take my transfers from in order to begin my quest for an isolate.
Here is the TC

The other plates I have going came from an agar dish that was started with a grain that was knocked up via a MS B+ syringe. So this is the 2nd round for it being on agar. These seem a lot more symmetrical than the TC and very condensed. Is there any reasoning behind the difference between the two?

So any help with deciding on where to take the transfer from would be greatly appreciated. As would any other pointers for doing work with agar.
I am hoping to borrow my roommates semi nice camera to take some better pictures of these so they are easier to see. The condensation on the tops of the lids make things a bit tough to see on most of them, anyone know how to combat this? I noticed after I poured the petri's that the ones that were on the bottom of the stack had no condensation. Has anyone come to this conclusion before? If so I figured I can just put blank/old petri's on top of my new ones so no condensation forms on them.

Just transfer a wedge from the leading edge. It is best to transfer the fastest growing sectors. You can try transfering from multiple sectors.

Just take a bunch. There is no point in getting just one isolate as you have no idea if it will fruit, how potent it will be, if it grows big boomers or tiny little shits. Get yourself 10-15 isolates, fruit them all out on a small scale and keep the ones you like.
