    #18983017 - 10/15/13 07:50 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Hello All, Found some interesting polypores in the forest near my home in southwestern Ontario, Canada that resemble reishi.

can anyone help me verify if these are in fact reishi, or if there are any similar look alikes?

Thanks!

Trametes species, possibly T. hirsuta

Hmmmmm. I doubt T. hirsuta but it is not a Ganoderma.

Sorry I cannot help more.

Fomitopsis forms pretty solid big brackets with a swollen attachment, never curtains.
