It looks like Suillus brevipes, but I'm not positive. I have found many that differ in cap color depending on age and how wet it is. Yes it is a type of Bolete, just not sure which one. Like I said, my guess is a Suillus sp.

well thats some kind of slippery jack the pine needle in the picture are probably from the tree they're growing with if you're interested in eating those, they're good if you dry them, but a lot of people don't like them if they're cooked fresh its S. caerulescens if it bruises blue, if not there are a few other that look like what you've got, all edible.

Pics of the stipe would help nail down the species.

Thanks!

Did you ever get a pic of the stem?

As requested:

All of the ones I found all had this black/brown crud on the stipe, which I assume is veil remnants?
Sorry for the delay. Thanks!

Those are kinda crappy pics of the stem, Moorning Due. it's cool though.
The slime looks like the regular ol' cap slime that comes off a Suillus specimen. In my experience, it sometimes oozes out of the pore surface in the button stage and collects on the stipe. Veil remnants on this species are usually white and roll-ish looking. I don't see a discernible ring and it's pretty squat--Suillus brevipes is the best I got.

Suillus luteus due to the pine habitat, large annulus with glandular dots above and purplish color below.

I'm not seeing the large annulus. Am I blind?

Suillus luteus usually has a ring with gusto, that's why I was thinking the relatively ringless S. brevipes. I am attempting to sneak an ID on an iPhone at work. All I'm seeing is a blob of dirty slime.
