Ive been misting and fanning 4-5 a day. Think I over did it. I had the cakes on aluminum foil squares but have since put them directly on the perlite for drainage. More pics in like 5 minutes

Don't put them on perlite. The mycellium will colonize into it and become a big mess. Not only that it helps the inevitable contamination happen faster. Leave them on the foil. Mist and fan more often if they're drying out between misting.

Depends on the conditions inside of your house. It's getting pretty dry here now that winter is rolling in so I find myself misting cakes upwards of 4-5 times. In April it might only be 2-3 times. Do what the cakes need.

thats just blue bruseing Jack:solidnod: you have a point (i'm in Fl.) so its pretty moist here but as long as the cakes are in a sgfc with moist perlite that should be humid enough for them that they'll just need a mistng 2-3 times a day ,but what do I know i ain't no expert and you learn something new everyday:thumbup:

I've left cakes for 3 days while I've been gone. The lack of misting wont hurt them any but if you can why not give them what they want.
