I am personally a little skeptical of gymnopilus for those, did you notice any of the gills lactating? Compare to armillaria species maybe.

They are Gymnopilus. G. spectabilis seems much more likely than G. luteus. Please consider drying some specimens for analysis.

Absolutely. PM me your mailing address.
Would spectabilis / junonius not have an annulus?

Cool!
spectabilis and luteus both have annular zones. Gymnopilus have mostly cortinate veils. When these rupture they tend to either collapse onto the stipe and catch spores, forming a fibrillose ring, or fall off altogether. In the case of spectabilis and it's allies, the veil remnants tend to be denser and almost membranous as can be seen in other genera in the Strophariaceae. However, veil remnants in Gymnopilus that normally stick around have a tendency to slide off under certain circumstances probably related to rot or weather.
This variability can be seen in your collection. A few specimens have obvious veil remnants and some do not. Judging from the fulvescent staining on the stipes and marbled orange spore mass on the caps, your collection is a bit battered and probably somewhat riddled with larvae. I would not consider specimens in this condition to be representative of the species.

Excellent info, exactly what I was looking for. Also very observant. This patch was mowed over before I got to them and I grabbed what I could salvage.

More tattered gyms here I think... Any confirmation?

Same scenario except these are bruising blue and green.
