Hi All
I just wanted some advice as to when Liberty Caps will stop growing in the UK , I've heard that its first frost but i just wanted to make sure as i live in the North West ( Lancashire ) and each time now im out with the dog i find the odd one or two unlike a couple of weeks ago where there were about 20-30 , also will the areas I've picked from earlier this month produce anymore this season? i tried 28 dried Libs on Friday evening and the effect was there but not as i imagined ( unlike the old days of LSD ) so im now thinking that perhaps if i did 50 would this be a lot more intense? any suggestions or help regarding the above questions would be gratefully accepted.
Regards in advance

Snow or hard freeze will stop them.. Probably based more on ground temp than air temp They are also associated with grasses and so probably related the the grass grow cycle They start when temp and moisture is right for them... August or Septemeber We often see them start up north first and move south... Little frost is ok...
Might bump it up to 60 mushrooms but dosing per mushroom is sketchy ... Scale is a bit better 3-4 gm would give you your LSD type trip though shorter...
Good vibes

how long in a piece of string type of question really ,
iv picked them after heavy snow and severe frosts before , now is the prime time in the uk really , drop in temp and increased rainfall
iv allways had the the most success picking in October from now until early November I would expect them to be fruiting in the highest numbers , so get hunting when you can
a dry sunny day a couple of days after heavy rainfalls is in my opinion the best time to go picking , good luck ..
