I get the impression that US cellphone companies are really fucking you up guys, way to expensive!
This what's in my contract for 25$(Israel): • Unlimited minutes for talking to any carrier or home within the country. • Unlimited SMS messages to any carrier within the country. • 3GB of internet browsing(high speed), after its finished i have unlimited internet browsing just for lesser speed.
Also 3GB isnt enough for me so i got 5GB, had to add 5$ Total sum is 30$
What you are paying for and how much?!

That's a good deal, with most major carriers here in the united states that plan would run you over $100 a month, unless you get a family plan.

not really. most people just dont look around.
in the US i have a straight talk plan and for 30$ you get about the same as his plan.
for 45 a month you get unlimited everything.
can even put iphones and such on it too!
and no contract to sign eather! commit one month at a time.

That's why I said through most major carriers here.
You have a lot of options here though, prepaid is often way cheaper than a regular plan, my mom pays $24 a month for unlimited everything.

I'm planning on taking a new phone/package, which would be:
-Nokia Lumia 1020 -Unlimited phone calls/SMS's or actually 5000min/5000 txt's, after that 0,09€/min 0,09€/txt, but for me 5000min/txt's is unlimited
-Unlimited 4G internet with max. 50MB/s connection
This would cost 43,83€/month and it'd be a 24 month deal

I pay 25 bucks a month for unlimited text, data, and 300 minutes per month. Virgin mobile is really cheap and even cheaper if you were grandfathered in. I would probably get more minutes, but I don't want to pay even more money and lose my plan.

I have the Wal-mart plan. Unlimited everything for $45 a month. With the taxes and everything it comes to about $51 a month. It works great!

Interesting, WIND mobile in Canada offers pretty much the same deal, I think the owners own egyptian telecoms as well.
My plan is unlimited canada wide talk, text and 5gb high speed data (unlimited throttled data)
Costs 29$/month no contract.

I pay about $80/month for Sprint service. Unlimited data/text/ and mobile-to-mobile minutes. I have 400 minutes to land lines during the day (before 7PM).
I get a small discount because of my employer but generally think my plan is about average for a "major" carrier.

I think you only have the province wide talk with WIND. It's $30 for province wide and $40 for Canada.

I have essentially the same plan at the same price from Public Mobile. You had to sign up within a certain promo period to get national instead of provincial long distance though.

WIND unfortunately doesn't work at all in TO. I used to be with them when I lived in Ottawa but I had to switch when I moved to TO.
I'm with Koodo now and I get:
- unlimited text Canada wide - unlimited talk Canada wide - 2GB data - $10/GB overage data
Costs me $54 a month and includes LTE. It's not bad at all.

I intially had it at 30$ for 1 year when I signed up, then as the year of discounts timed out, they released a temporary 29 o canada plan. it was a limited run, and never expires. I was an early adoptor into wind.
TL;DR: Grandfathered plan
