I have 2 monotubs stacked and I feel like the one on the bottom doesn't have light hiting it because of the tub in top. Has anyone ever had that type of issue.

Where's your light? It should be within a few inches above and to one side of the tubs. Get a 6500K CFL and fixture. If you stack a lot of tubs, you can hang a fluorescent tube vertically in front of them. RR

This is something on my shopping list at the moment, as I am planning a stacked monotub grow as well.
Is the time on/off important for lighting?
Do experienced growers prefer 12/12? If not, what's most effective?
Would be awesome to see some data from an experiment to test the yield differences between natural room lighting vs. 6500k CFL. I am sure it's been done, though I don't recall ever coming across anything actually posted.

Natural light from outside will work just as well. You do have to have them a place where they get enough of it though.

All of my growing experiences have been in natural light. Although I did see results, I definitely felt there was something lacking.
The setting was hardly scientific though
