How do we all feel about Icelander using kratom?

Now I've never personally consumed Kratom. I'm sure it's great. Feels good man.
I can't help but feel like Icelander is being weak. No offense Icelander, but cant you find joy in life without kratom?
But shit, look at me. I do drugs - not psychedelics in a long time but your usual suspects. So am I using a crutch?
Are vitamins a crutch?
What originally began as a superficial judgement of a man who is at sometimes cynical and often genuine, became an insight into my own life. Who am I to say that people should die slowly and painfully.. So often I take the side, so to say, of mainstream culture. I don't know if this is just something that happens with age, or what .. lack of psychedelics?
I feel like the masses are right. But how could they be? Conformity is strong, yes. Strong enough to make someone who is absolutely right look insane.
So I say, Icelander, enjoy your kratom. I will enjoy my drugs of choice, and will be no better a person than you.

I could give a rat's ass whether he uses Kratom, or smokes used tampons. Does Kratom make someone post a lot of nonsense? Maybe he should stop then.

Crazy. I was taking like 8 to 10 gel caps full and thinking I needed more. How does the potency differ?

Doesn't bother me I do worry about some of ya kids that lack job stability, are carried by your parents, have costly drug habits, some form of mental illness, and come to these forums raving about spiritual oneness.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care. No I can't. I am extremely weak and admit it.
Life, modern life, and old age, overall, holds little fascination for me. However nodding on my couch with some great music and following my inner vision sometimes does.

That's actually my concern, that some day they'll "leave".... whether that's to a mental hospital, prison, under a bridge, or a wooden box.... of course they'll be replaced with fresh meat....

Not to blow steam up Icelander's ass, (clearly this post will do that though in a metaphorical sense) but I really don't understand how anyone misunderstands his viewpoints to believe he's a troll..?
I invite you to show me/us one post of his that is nonsense/trollish...From the past 5 years

I'd say so, he's not very friendly. I thought this was the philosophy forum but I think hes turned it into the angry troll forum.
Not to blow steam up Icelander's ass, (clearly this post will do that though in a metaphorical sense) but I really don't understand how anyone misunderstands his viewpoints to believe he's a troll..?
I invite you to show me/us one post of his that is nonsense/trollish...From the past 5 years
Dude's got philosophical prowess that is quite sound, to me at least.
I could show you a few that are arrogant, offensive and ignorant and I just met him today. I think he's a spur puss, he has 26 posts a day in a nearly ten year run on the shroomery and he is ignored by 47 people. I also don't believe anyone that spends that much time on the Internet and not actually living in the real wold could even understand anything about philosophy unless he just reads books all day and makes posts upon what he's read by the great philosophers of the past. I don't know, I don't really care. He's probably fat and single.

You might not realize this due to your likely huge intellect but making such posts that are basically just personalisms are against forum rules not to mention evidence of huge butthurt on your part.

My guess is that this is a post of jealousy. You said Ice isn't friendly. So then why does he have so many friends on here? We are social animals, and our brains are hardwired to derive pleasure from social interaction. It's like a natural drug.

What is there to be jealous of? He attacked me for no reason, he made an assumption in another thread that I was talking about him (I believe that's why he started in on me), I was actually talking about someone he was arguing with) and then he used sloppy rhetoric to get a rise out of me and when he finally did, he reported me. Good showman ship. The mod is obviously a friend of his. Leave me alone, moderator. I'd like to leave this shitty forum but people would like to talk to me about this ridiculous drama. We need new philosophers on this site. Oh and moderator, you failed to mention what rule I actually broke. You said flaming/trolling however you didn't quote whatever I said that was against the rules. Anywho, don't bother. I'm off once again.

They really are such great friends , ever since my buddy died i have been realizing this more and more as i want less less to do with my monkey friends.
I just remembered this and now I feel like sharing. This one time he was chewing on a stick snapping it with his teeth, i picked up stick next to him and put it my mouth by that point he had a bedazzled look on face i then proceed to chew and snap the stick with my own teeth , he got very excited when i did that. It was just one of those great moments of mutual understanding.
Is that a Pitbull i see to the left?

Yes he does but it's been awhile. Traditionally the old men retire to the opium dens which is my Kratom. The trouble is of course tolerance. At some point soon I'll need to take a break to reduce my tolerance and then all hell is going to break loose. I'm sure many of you here will feel my wrath. Just a heads up.

I want kratom. Semi-nodding the day away.
Withdrawals, especially the dysphoria were unpleasant but comfortably countered with benzo's.

Not sure, never did MJ for that purpose. Weed affects me differently though, lots of anxiety, speedy thoughts and my heart beats like drum sticks.
I would definitely look more into kratom, highly recommended, simple and enjoyable stuff that gets you through the day. Kratom and nicotine synergize well.

Try the enhanced versions. Or something like Maeng Da Thai Kratom Powder (OG Red Vein)
It's not the greatest thing out there by any means but it has a lot of upsides that harder drugs do not and not to mention it's still legal and relatively inexpensive.

Withdrawals, especially the dysphoria were unpleasant but comfortably countered with benzo's.
Dysphoria is what it counters for me. Not completely but certainly takes the edge off. Dysphoria has been a relentless companion of mine from about 55 on. It super sucks but it's my reality. I have mixed feelings about why I have it. It may just be the price to be paid for seeing life as I do. Maybe Jesus will reward me in the afterlife for being so honest with myself.

That uneasy feeling creeping in your stomach best described as gruesome restlessness is horrible.
Does kratom take this away or ease it? What about heroin?

Kratom eases it considerably at times. I can lay on the couch with some good music for hours almost completely content and slightly blissed. It's not Ecstasy but you can't take that every day. Good for pain issues too.

Unfortunately I've never had what it takes to make it to that place with things like meditation. Death is my ace in the hole hopefully.

Will definitely try Kratom again, and probably try these strains since they come recommended "Maeng Da Thai Kratom Powder (OG Red Vein)". That's always an issue with stuff like this, cheap brands that don't work and the like.
Sepakku sounds painful, I'd prefer a shotgun in the mouth which has the highest success rate + shortest time for a suicide method. That's the plan... oh shit I just got goosebumps! Someone call Randy!

I would recommend asking for a sample of Bali powder, by far the most sedating IME.

You really are a mess IMO. Can't relax can't get in the groove. It's the nicotine, and the negative MOJO.
I got my MOJO working. Over fucking time. Fuck Kratom and Benzos and Nicotine and the rest of it.

So with this week's Kratom experimentation, I found that half a tablespoon of powdered Malay made me awake and motivated, with a nice lil body buzz. I made a pair of DIY speakers stands in my basement, calibrated an HDTV, configured a raspberry pi as a home theater pc, and went for a long walk, while feeling imbued with clean, positive energy. I could see a low dose being sweet on a rainy winter day where I'd rather just putz around.
I followed up with a full tablespoon, which had a considerably more euphoric aspect.. Put on Bitches Brew and was lost in jazz daydream reverie.. Amidst that I got a booty call text and decided to go with it. The high actually complimented a long, hot love making session quite nicely
I'm still quite fond of unwinding with a couple hoppy beers or a bit of cannabis, but I'm happy to have some Kratom tucked away in my arsenal for a rainy day... and it is dirt cheap

That all sounds right to me. Can't say about the booty thing unfortunately. For me that half TBL dose is a sweet spot. I'm starting to experiment with mixing strains.

Getting off probably wouldn't have crossed my mind, at least at that dosage. I only found it acted as an aphrodisiac when called to rise to the occasion, and I thought the high made it exceptionally hot. But now that I know, perhaps I will 'text myself' on it some day down the road. Thanks for asking.

I have some Bali I haven't tasted yet, but I guess I have a ways to go hunting down all the strains before I can play the role of the connoisseur.

I never got any effect from Kava myself. Maybe it was a low alkaloid batch of powder. I tried kratom once as well, but I was real young and was told to just throw some tar like extract under my tongue, nothing from that either. I suppose I could give them both another go.
