I would say 5-10% of what you win in that pot depending on how cool the dealer is

I used to play poker at the casino 5 days a week for more than a year, I never tipped any dealer but I saw many people throw a dollar everytime they won a pot or giving 10$ when they left.
At the tables, people generally throw a 5$ before leaving or like 20$ if they win 500$

No offense but that is cheap as fuck. When I use to play texas hold em I would tip the dealer every time I won a pot because they basically work for tips. If I won a $300 pot (max pot here), the dealer would get $20-$30 every time

Casino du Lac-Lemay, Gatineau, Quebec.
In Canada, many casinos are owned by the government, therefore, government salaries and pensions.
All the profit the casinos make go straight in the province's pockets. Just like liquor.

you have your location as ottawa so i figured thats where you went
when i visited ottawa once i knew i wanted to check out gatineau, but i didnt know if i wanted to go to the casino or just the liquor store for some overproof
i ended up just going to the liquor store to get some like 200 proof liquor and then got some poutine

There's no real casino in Ottawa, so Gatineau is where it's at.
