Three of us Me and my other 2 best mates from school are going fishing in a log cabin for 4 days 2 of us are going to do some magic truffles and get very high 1 night when were not fishing or getting to drunk...
Phil on the other hand has decided to stick to booze... I just wanted to bring up a kind of debate really imo there is no definite yes or no answer to whether someone should trip or not but in your own opinion why should phil trip or not?
Im guessing because im posting this on a magic mushroom forum the response will be mostly for, rather than against doing psilocybin but what would you say to phil if you had the chance (I am going to show this to him) - here's so foot notes about phil....
- its not a completely secluded place there are other fishing lodges.
- phil is not a square and without blowing too much smoke up his back side he's a pretty cool guy... e.g. he likes a good drink, and smokes weed with the best of them when he has a smoke.
- he's said he doesn't want to do them because there a class A drug and is class A for a reason... i.e it might fuck his mental health up( he has had no previous metal disorder's) and I know he doesn't give a shit about being caught and getting in trouble.... finally he's said he's just not interested in hallucinating. But what do you think? could the average person do with lightening up and trying psilocybin?
I have to admit ive created this thread try and change his mind but also think its an interesting topic so what do ya think??

Bring some for him but don't try to convince him. If you all are having fun and he sees it then he might want to eat some. You have to let people make their own decisions instead of trying to manipulate them to think things. By the way you speak I think you manipulate people without knowing it.

Marijuana is "Class A" as well...ask him if marijuana is "Class A" for a reason. If he doesn't have an open mind he's just missing out.

now I think about it I think you could be right and that's really not cool, ive never tried psilocybin either but have wanted to for ages as ive done salvia 60x and think shrooms will be amazing but have never had a good sorce to buy them before now. I don't think I try and manipulate anyone else to do anything else or at least I don't think I do I just love the whole idea of getting really high.
I just want to enjoy the whole time and want him to have a great time as I think he would

If all the facts are laid out to him, there is not much more you can or should do to try and persuade him... Hopefully when he sees you guys having a great time, it might spark his interest. You friend may ask loads of questions while you are tripping though! Like what are you feeling now? why do you have a need to trip? Arent you scared it could cause permanent damage? Why do you need to trip more than once if it is so helpful? Some questions could lead to a sour, introspective experience because now he is causing you to have the same doubts he is! It can be a little weird tripping around someone who is drunk Sometimes their insecurities can still seep out even though they are trying to hide them by getting drunk.
Just remember that a lot of questions he asks can only be answered by personally taking psychedelics, and some may not be answered at all, lol. So when he sees how positive the psychedelic experience can be and has questions about it... The best answer is - the only way to find the answers to these questions is to take the trip yourself!
I think almost every person on this planet can benefit(even a little bit) from taking mushrooms. So if that person does not have any hang-ups or previous psychological disorders, psychedelics can teach you many things that may normally take your entire life to figure out. They are not the end-all cure-all answer to everything.. but damn are they therapeutic and insightful in the right set/setting!

...Or could be his worst nightmare.
Phil? Make the choice based on your best information and how YOU feel about potential risks and benefits!
Don't feel obligated to trip because your friends are.
Find the time to research and weigh potential outcomes.
Peace be with you all!

Dear, Phil...
Do psilocybin IF you are an intellectual, if you like to live in the moment, if you like to ponder wild ideas, if you are free spirited, if you enjoy the massive amount of beauty in life, if you believe there is more to life than the obvious, if you desire to receive epiphanies, if you want to find or challenge yourself, if you want to look deep into your own psyche, if you're interested in philosophy, if you love nature, if you would like to be more open minded, if you're willing to go out on a limb and try new experiences, if you want to be able to look back in thirty years and say, "yes, I took the red pill like Neo" or "yes, I've been down the rabbit hole.", if you'd like to see past the mundane, if you'd like a novel experience, if you'd like to see visions, if you desire to become a deeper person, you want a memory that you will never forget, you want to broaden your horizons, open your view of reality.
There is really a million reasons to TAKE psilcybin. I can't think of a REASON to NOT take psilocybin BUT I CAN think of a lot of EXCUSES for NOT takin psilcybin.
In the end, what kinda man are you?
Or as he says in the movie "Wanted"...
"What the fuck have you done lately?" Haha

The only reason I can see people not wanting to take psilocybin is because of legal issues and the degree of misinformation most people are given these days.

a bit of fear mixed with misinformation/uninformed can go bad quuckly.
without the initial excitement stage that normally accompanies a first trip someone's 'set' could easily go bad as they hyper-analyze instead of experience.

My problem with that is the misinformation part. Get real information and tripping might be the best thing that ever happened to him. It was in my case, opened up doors for me.
