Alrght well, I just wanted to post here to see if you guys had any advice about a TERRIBLE trip I had...
Anyways I tripped about 2.75 grams with 1 pill of syrian rue 4 months ago. I had a terrible trip that involved intrusive thoughts. However, I was able to get throught it without any problem really. However, afterwards I never really got back to my normal self. I first just figured I was dealing with the normal psychological problem of intrusive thoughts. However, months later (almost half a year), I still cannot control what goes on in my head. It's like I always have to be thinking something or my brain goes crazy. Whenever I am actively engaged in something, I am able to complete it. However, I feel as if there is this war in my thoughts, whenever I am walking around or trying to relax. It is AWFUL. I have been to a psychiatric ward, which didnt seem to help. Does anyone have any experience with this type of hellacious twist on intrusive thoughts?

Well it just seems to me like you're a bit neurotic and are over thinking things. It's actually pretty normal and not as strange as you think it is. Mind mind is always pretty active and it isn't because of tripping. You can try meditating, you could also try smoking some Indica, it's very relaxing, stay away from Sativas if you don't enjoy racy thoughts etc.
Just laugh off the random non nonsensical thoughts, they are normal and we all have them. You should get into a hobby and do more with your active mind. You're probably just to board for your own good or aren't getting the intellectual stimulation you need.

The intrusive thoughts are preventing me from enjoying anything: weed, music, movies, going out/staying up late... I really can't do much anymore. I have been reading up latent illnesses stemming from intrusive thoughts and can't seem to find anything that matches. I mean, it's not schizophrenia... Anyways thanks for your help, that is good advice.

Well intrusive thoughts are a bit of a generic and non descriptive term. So it's hard for us to offer better advice or insight without more information. Maybe you just had a really bad trip and you are a bit depressed/traumatized from it still. A good trip could be helpful, I have had completely horrendous trips, many, many times
Is your diet and exercise good? Dietary imbalances can wreak all kinds of havoc on your body and mind. You should look into that as well.
