Bleeding Tooth fungus! (Hydnellum peckii)

I have been going through some of my summer mushroom hunting pics and decided to share some interesting finds. This summer is the first time I have encountered the Bleeding Tooth fungus. I only found this once this summer, and even went back to this location a couple weeks later only to find nothing. Really cool specimen and the "blood" is an anticoagulant.

Me too! For a while I thought I had found one in my yard but I later realized it was Abortiporus biennis.

Nice find man!
I found a few this summer, too. I kinda stumbled upon it accidentally. I didn't know what it was, and pointed it out to my hunting partner. He started freakin out. "DUDE!!! Do you know how long I have been looking for one of these?!"
That was the most excited I had ever seen him get when finding a mushroom.

I hope you don't mind if I share a little tooth I found yesterday, while we're on the subject.

-------------------- "Shrub, 30-90 cm. Leaves 2.5-) 4-9 cm, sessile or amplexicaul, broadly ovate to ovate-oblong, obtuse or rounded to subapiculate or subacute, when crushed not smelling of goats." "The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."

Nice pics everyone! Yeah, I know the excitement! While not on my immediate radar, I had hoped to see one in person some day, so needless to say I was pretty stoked to have found some myself!
