Agar with half pint not petri?

I don't have time to order a petri dish. because the shrooms are ready and I do not know how to keep them fresh. Is there a way to keep them fresh without growing mold in them? What would happen if i sealed them in a jar airtight?
Also are you supposed to use tissue from the mushroom or are you suppose to use a piece of mycelium? because it looks like all the mycelium is dried up.
can someone tell me how to prepare it with a coffee filter? What do i mix the agar with, potatoe flakes and honey right? I got the agar in a little packet that looks like flakes.

i also have a pyrex dish. The half pints i have are not the short wide ones so would the pyrex be better because it is shorter and wider?

Why create 2 different posts asking the exact same thing in the exact same forum where the exact same people are going to see them?

because no one answers when I ask at the end of a post. I have tried so I know.
Anyways who cares either way? It boggles my mind that people on a mushroom site are so snobby and arrogant.
Just answer my question. not everyone has a secure job that they can go buy shit willy nilly.
I have over a foot long massive thick dreadlocks unlike most people who have little secure jobs and all clean shaved and dead. I already grew the shrooms without all the glove boxes and unecessary sterilizing stuff everyone says to do.

You'd start to care too after answering the same questions over and over again. I definitely empathize with these Shroomery vets. Not sure why you started going on about your appearance, and plastic petri dishes are pretty cheap, it's worth investing in if you really want to get into agar. You can keep fresh mushrooms for a little while by placing them in a paper bag and in your fridge. Sealing them completely would definitely cause them to rot. Most people use tissue from a particularly large mushroom or one that grew quickly in order to isolate favorable genetics. Split mushroom and cut out an inner piece near the base that hadn't been exposed to the air yet. Not sure about the actual recipe, but a quick search at the top right of the page should get you what you need good luck.

well sir if you think gloveboxes and sterilization are unnecessary I am going to venture to guess that you will not receive much valuable feedback here.
