If the government defaults on its loans, we'll all be feeling it, a lot.

I'm really worried about that, too.

I'm just gonna assume you don't know anything about economics.

The government's credit rating was downgraded in 2011, just because we came close to default, and the stock market fell by 17%. Economists generally agree that a default would be disastrous.

Right now, Republicans are basically holding the country economically hostage because they don't like a law that was already passed.

I have a teacher who  refers to the shutdown quite often , but in no way do i beleive it affects my life and I'm not sure if  it will because its too early in the process of Shut down To notice any effects.

I don't think ill be totally effected unless  some post apocalyptic shit happens which I doubt because all the shut down shit is , is a scare tactic to get us jingled.

If the governments closed .. were open for buisness.

I just wish rebuplicans would leave the president alone and focus more on  The congress who' has more control over this issue in the first place.

You could take that advice yourself. Of course, using the term "libtards" already makes it clear that you're some 16 year old Glenn Beck groupie in the high school republican club. Credibility = 0. :ilold:

Of course.

The Republican will fold at the last second just to make Wall Street lose a shit ton of money by creating panic.

Hopefully, they won't be stupid enough to let the country default.

Everything is driven by panic. People should just stop freaking out over every little thing that happens. This is no exception.

The only way the economy could be hurt by this is if people panic. So just don't do that.

I'm not panicking at all. I knew this would happen maybe 6 months before it happened. It was written in the stars.

I know you aren't. Most people aren't right now. But it's a possibility. People just shouldn't panic.

Politics is so easy to predict.

First thing you have to know:

- People lose IQ points when they are in a crowd - Congress is a crowd.
- Everybody has a different agenda and are out for themselves, therefore conflict everytime
- When there's conflict within a large group of people, it becomes childish arguments
- Childish behavior creates childish reaction

Basically, all you need to do is predict how a child would react to a situation he doesn't like and you can predict every move of any house of commons in the world.

When you take a politician out of the crowd you'll realize that what he says actually makes sense. Put him back in the House and suddenly he acts like a 4 year old.
