Using a tote incubator. Do I need to cover the holes?

Hi everyone. First timer here. Just noced up 9 half pint cakes after PCing for 60 minutes.
Waited 8 hours before nocing. I originally had the holes taped up with foil wrapped around the tops of the jars to prevent water getting in.
The tape I used stuck to the foil when nocing so I took it off. Now the jars are sitting in a rubbermaid tote after being rubbed down with a bleach cleaner. The jar holes are exposed inside the box however.
Should I cover them up with something? Note, I noced using a airbox like the Lets Grow Mushrooms video shows. Very simple, but I think it worked out well.

Thanks. It just seems to be one of those grey areas where it all depends on how sterile you were. I followed the directions. Added the layer of verm on top, and tried to be as sterile as possible.
Hopefully this goes well.
Thanks for the reply.

If your verm barrier is there, theoretically it shouldn't matter. Some people put micropore tape over the holes, some people keep them in a tote to prevent air circulation, some people keep a fan running and let contams fall all over their shit and they all have success. I think Frank said it best earlier today that extra precaution NEVER hurts.

Unless the micropore tape actually unnecessarily obstructs gas exchange! THEN EVERYTHING FALLS APART.
