Mmmm mm good!
    #18968077 - 10/12/13 12:11 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Ne Ohiho. On fertilised lawn. The grass is only 5 years old. The fertiliser is human feces dumped from a camper earlier in the year. Dunno if it would be bad to eat them because of this. My thoughts would be they are fine. Judging by How many times have people ate cow shit shrooms and was fine lol.
1. Calvatea ______?

Non edible old one

2. Lacrymaria velutina

3. Coprinus comatus

4. Unknown thinking possible actives. Doing spore prints.

5. Agaricus campestris smells like almonds

6. Im guessing some kind of Armillaria.

7. I dunno but wasnt a lot of these.

Bonus pic.

4 is Psathyrella, you can tell how the stems are splitting and the dark gills.

Agaricus campestris is not supposed to smell like almonds, but its impossible for me to weigh in on the id from that angle of the stem.

Consider Agaricus arvensis for the Agaricus species.

Much prized by farmers and gypsies for generations, the horse mushroom is regarded as one of the most delicious edible fungi, although the fruitbodies of this and other yellow-staining Agaricus species often have a build-up of heavy metals, such as cadmium and copper.[5]

Should I eat them???

No it's just closely related. Agaricus bisporus is the cultivated one and also grows wild, less commonly.

I think they generally more closely resemble campestris, but the aniseed smell made me suggest arvensis. I really have no idea for sure which it is, or if it's either one of them. But he has them in front of them and might be able to work it out.

No, meadow mushrooms = a group of species commonly all called Agaricus campestris, the store bought button mushrooms are Agaricus bisporus.

Any side views?  That looks a bit more like meadow mushrooms, how dense are they?  No staining right?

I know people fertilize their gardens and eat mushies out of cow poop and horse poop. I seen an episode of a thousand ways to die tho where a woman was eating dirt from her neighbors yard and the neighbor was fertilizing his yard with human feces. She died from eating human shit!:lmafo:

There's a big difference between eating mushrooms/fruit/vegetables that have grown from the aged manure of ungulate livestock versus ones that have grown in an area contaminated with human waste and chemicals added to the rv toilet system.
