People who call themselves intelligent and try to associate with other "smart people" are annoying, banal, and presumptuous.

She was convinced mermaids were real.. a grown ass woman... sorry but who knows what other kind of nonsense will spill forth from a mouth like that, and who knows what she might act upon if she has beliefs like that?

when I was in catholic school and about 7 I told my parents I wish I was retarted so I wouldn't have to go to school.. Life is crazy as shit. Sometimes you just gotta smoke weed and find a hobby to lose yourself in.

I wouldn't wish intelligence upon enemies.
I feel the same way. It is a shame that you had to say that anonymously, but I can understand why you did. It is so much harder for me to feel happy when I see more and more each day how shitty and evil the world is. And I realize that is just one way of looking things but it is a challenge to try and see it the other way. It isn't something that I can just easily ignore or pretend doesn't exist like I did when I was a sheep.
Learning is the only way to improve your life and the world around you. Do you think Martin Luther King was bathed in ignorance? Even if you make a small positive impact it still made a difference. For instance I discovered pigs are actually very intelligent. So I stopped eat bacom (gasp!!!). I'm sure that made a very small difference. Learning the truth hurts badly, and there is only so much truth a sane person can stand. But TRY TRY TRY TRY to live life nobly and happily if at all possible.
PS Weed and ssris doesn't hurt

I enjoy learning, and even though there are many days where I think about how much happier I was when I was ignorant, I still wouldn't want to have the ignorance back. I'm just saying it was much easier to be happier those days when I didn't realize all that was going on. As for weed, it is nice as long as I don't use it too often, and no thanks on the SSRI's.

That's one of the things that I find so attractive about my girl friend, she is so fucking smart. I sware she reads at least 4 hours a day, and we can talk for hours about all sorts of scolorlarly subjects.

I have broken off a couple of relationships in the past due to their lack of intelligence. It just frustrated me to be around them all the time and have all this silly non-sense spew out of their mouth all the time. I am not sure who posted about the Sapiosexual topic, but I find that very relevant to how I am. Yea the looks bring me in at first glance, but the next thing I notice is their level of intellect. They don't have to be the smartest ever, but there has to be something between their shoulders. Me and my other male roommate talk about how finding a woman with a intelligent head on their shoulder can be so hard to find some times, it is like there is always just something missing.
And really that is how I am with all relationships, male and female. If you can't have an intelligent conversation with me and my friends I probably will not pursue that relationship too much.
